Weekend (February 8-9) Prayer Focus for CLC Thailand

Last year, a suitable property for the relocation of CLC Chiang Mai was identified. The purchase depended on finally selling the CLC property in Bangkok, but it was proving difficult to complete the sale.

Friday (February 7) Prayer Focus for CLC Thailand

Pray for Amanda Intajuk who has recently taken over the responsibility of managing the Chiang Mai bookshop and the role of CLC Director for Thailand. Amanda asks for prayer for wisdom and opportunities to serve the Lord, our customers and the church.

Muriel Sjoblom who, with her husband Bob, served with CLC in Thailand, wrote: “I first heard of Seng Joon from missionaries in the north. They said that it did their hearts good to see one so willing to board a bus at 5:00am to get out to markets to sell scripture portions...

CLC Thailand is thankful to God for the opportunities and for the struggles. In the opportunities, we see God move in lives and, in the struggles, we learn to endure. The sales in 2015 have decreased to less than the 2014 sales. But in that struggle, we have seen people come into the bookshop and receive Christ.

In October, 2011, floodwaters affected large areas of Thailand. In Bangkok, the waters came very close to our building. During this time, there were very few customers and it was impossible to order stock because the publishers closed temporarily.
