Our project has grown from 25,000 to 50,000 Children’s Bibles! Praise God! Some of these Bibles are beginning to arrive in various countries. New Bibles for children have arrived at our CLC shop in Thailand & India.
25,000 Children’s Bibles Project: Help us print 25,000 in multiple languages
During a trip to our CLC ministry in Chiang Mai, Thailand last year, I was struck by how few Bibles were available for children in the Thai language. I knew that we had to do something about this lack of materials for different age groups for our precious children. As I spoke to some colleagues, we realised that this was a problem in many countries.

Our dedicated team manages 23 bookshops in the country, mostly in the south where the majority of Christians live. It is one of the countries with the most staff and also the largest distribution of Christian literature in the CLC International Fellowship.
Recent History
Praise the Lord, the situation since those early days has changed. In 1993, CLC was recognised by the government as a publisher and Jacob was given a licence to publish books in any or all of the Burmese languages. To date, CLC has published 220 Burmese titles, including translating and publishing major titles, such as The Lion Bible Hand Book and The Bible Dictionary.

In 1990, a young Burmese interested in involving himself with literature evangelism. Jacob Mung, then 26, was given intensive training for about a year under our personal supervision and guidance and, in 1991, he was commissioned by ELS for the work of the Lord in his own country, Myanmar.
The First-ever Burmese Study Bible (Forever Grateful Moments)
“A Study Bible for new believers in the Burmese language is desperately needed!”, shared Jacob Mung with British author Martin Manser in 2013. Martin and his co-author/editor, Mike Beaumont, began developing the study notes and helps for this Bible.
