CLC World Report Summary
It was a challenge but, in 2023, we saw many people returning to the bookshops and establishing relationships with our staff again after two years of increased buying online. We prayed about this and made efforts to make online customers aware of our bookshops. Customers trust our knowledge of the material and appreciate the great variety of literature they can find in our shop.
We want to be a blessing to our country, and online webinars, workshops and interviews with authors and publishers are effective ways of doing this. We have also been hosting a book club via Zoom from our bookshop in Turin for the past two years. Participants really appreciate this. In one instance, the author of the book being reviewed joined in the discussion, answering questions and giving insight into the book.
We praise the Lord that church events in person started up again and, thanks to the good relationship established with several Christian denominations, we’ve been invited many times to have book tables at conferences during the year. We were usually informed in advance about the subject of the event, and this helped us provide relevant content. Sometimes, we also had opportunities to present the ministry of CLC.
