PRAYER FOCUS

Please join us as we pray each day for our teams and projects around the CLC World

Prayer Focus: June 30th - July 1st 2025

Week 27 - Worldwide

June 30th to July 1st

Monday (30th) - Everywhere
Many of our teams around the world are asking for prayer for the political and socio-economic situations in their countries, which directly impact on them and their families as well as upon the ministry in which they serve. Please pray especially for those in countries where there is unrest and where, at times, the lives of our staff may be in danger. Pray that their faith will remain strong.

Tuesday (4th) - Central Asia 2

Please pray that we would have a stable business to rent the other side of our property. Our current tenants are struggling with sales, bringing financial uncertainty both for them and for us.

Prayer Focus: July 2nd - July 6th 2025

Week 27 - Worldwide

July 2nd to 6th

Wednesday (2nd) - Cyprus
This summer, we will have at least two opportunities to serve with book tables at Christian camps in the mountains. For most of those attending, it is their only opportunity to obtain Christian literature throughout the whole year. The first book table will be on July 9th, and the other, in the middle of August. Please pray for strength and stamina in preparing the books, for safety in travels and for new contacts. Above all, pray that the literature may be used by God to bless and to save those who will read it.

Friday (4th) - South Korea
We are excited to release a new children’s title, A Day at the Beach, by Audrey Spaulding, an ACABA* award-winning book. We pray that this story will not only delight young readers but also inspire them to dream about writing their own books someday. *African Christian Authors’ Book Awards.

The Weekend (5th-6th) - Visas for Travel
CLC leaders often need to travel in order to participate in various conferences and other events, for the good of the ministry. Sadly, visas are sometimes denied, and this is always a cause for disappointment. Please pray that all CLC workers who need to travel this year will be able to do so and that they will have wisdom in knowing how to process their visa applications.

Prayer Focus: June 23rd - June 29th 2025

Week 26 - Europe

June 23rd to 29th

Monday (23rd) - Italy
Many Christian publishers in Italy struggle to adapt to commercial quality standards, especially with regard to eBooks. Please pray for all of us, that we may gain the favour of publishers and gather more understanding for the production and distribution of Christian eBooks in the Italian language.

Tuesday (24th) - Portugal
Please pray that we may be able to have the book Homens sem Nom no Velho Testamento translated into English. We could then give the publishing rights to some of the CLC countries that are interested to have these rights to produce the book in their languages.

Wednesday (25th) - Romania
Please pray that we may fulfil all administrative and financial legal requirements without losing the efficiency in our work. So far, although we have succeeded in implementing various changes in order to comply with some new regulations, the process was complicated for us due to being unable to hire extra staff to deal with the necessary procedures.

Thursday (26th) - Romania
Please join us in praying for resources (both financial and human) to enable us to do much needed maintenance and repairs in our CLC buildings. Also, please pray for our publishing activities, since this is a very important part of our work.

Friday (27th) - United Kingdom
We have the opportunity to serve many language groups - but it is a complicated business! The world has come to the UK, and we want to help those who are reaching out to different language groups. Undoubtedly, Print on Demand is one of the solutions, so please pray for us as we seek to extend our reach with literature in different languages. Thank you.

The Weekend (28th - 29th) - Websites
Please pray for our CLC websites in Europe, and those who maintain and upgrade them. Pray that our online customers will be able to easily find what they need and that they will be blessed in knowing that in making their purchases from CLC, they are contributing to God’s Kingdom work.

Thursday (19th) - South Korea
We are thankful to God for enabling us to serve the theological seminaries in South Korea through our publications ministry. Please pray that we may be on time with all our publishing manuscripts and that we may continue to maintain commercial quality standards, to the glory of God.

Friday (20th) - Thailand
For many years, CLC Thailand has been registered under a Christian umbrella organisation, for which we are grateful. Lately, the CLC Foundation has received government approval and steps are being taken to finalise this. This will bring more stability to the ministry and we are thankful for this long-desired development.

The Weekend (21st - 22nd) - Thailand
We are very thankful to the Lord for the new children’s Bibles which we have received in collaboration with Copenhagen Publishing in Denmark, as part of the CLC Children’s Bible Project. Please pray with us that these Bibles will be a huge blessing in thousands of families, inspiring a love for God in the lives of children and adults too!

Prayer Focus: June 9th - June 15th 2025

Week 24 - Europe

June 9th to 15th

Monday (9th) - Central Asia 1
Our sales have continued to suffer due to a long-term distribution of large quantities of free Christian literature in our country. Please pray for us to know how to work with this situation.

Tuesday (10th) - Eastern Europe 2
Please pray for our team as we continue our struggle for the ministry in this city and in the country as a whole. Pray for the Lord’s blessing and protection, wisdom and strength. We are grateful to Him, as we have seen that our country’s conflict sparked an interest in the Bible - something that was even mentioned on the news. We praise Him that we have Bibles to sell to those who are searching.

Wednesday (11th) - Germany
Please pray for us in the everyday details, as we learn to balance our time between meaningful, and often listening, conversations with our customers, and the business workload. We depend on God’s wisdom and guidance. Also pray for more good new Christian authors to arise, so that publishers can offer meaningful books.

Thursday (12th) - Hungary
In February this year, Zsolt Kárpáti took on the pastoral responsibility in his fellowship, which necessitated some rearrangement of the work in CLC to enable him to focus on his new responsibilities. Please pray for the best outworking of the situation, for both the church and CLC.

Friday (13th) - Italy
It has been increasingly difficult to have people visiting bookshops because of the growing tendency to use digital channels. Please pray therefore that God will continue to give us new ideas to attract believers to come and meet us in person, allowing us to establish a connection that goes beyond the digital.

The Weekend (14th - 15th) - Poland
We always would like prayer that God’s Word will spread throughout the area and change many people’s hearts. A current request for the ministry is that the Lord will be preparing a successor for when the current national director, Eva Rymer, retires in two years from now.

Week 23 - Canada & Europe

June 2nd to 8th

Tuesday (3rd) - Canada
Every year, we participate in the Montreal Christian Book and Arts Fair which is held in the second weekend of June. This event brings together authors from Quebec and beyond. As this year marks its 10th anniversary, we pray for a smooth event and that every visitor finds exactly what God intends for them.

Wednesday (4th) - Portugal
For many years, we have been blessed to participate in the annual book fair which takes place in Coimbra. This year is the 46th anniversary of the event, which is scheduled for June 20th - 29th. Please pray for our team and any volunteers, as these are long days - but very worthwhile!

The Weekend (14th - 15th) - United KIngdom
We are seeking to strategically move forward with our publishing and Print on Demand this year. The nature of printing and publishing has changed dramatically in the digital age, opening up new possibilities. Please pray that we will understand where the Lord is leading us.

Tuesday (27th) - Ecuador
Please join us in praying for a property for CLC Quito. The current property, which is leased, no longer has sufficient space for the operation of the bookshop, distribution department and offices. Although prices of properties in the area are very high, we trust that the Lord will open the way for us to find a suitable property for our needs.

Wednesday (28th) - Panama
Please pray for God’s help and wisdom in the midst of the different challenges we face with the premises we are renting, mainly due to cost increases and the limited availability of parking spaces. Also pray for the health of our staff, as a number of them have been facing difficulties.

Thursday (29th) - Peru
As we approach the end of the fifth month of the year, we ask the Lord to continue guiding us in our plan to reach new customers this year for each of our bookshops. At the time of writing, we are already seeing an increase in the number of new customers and we are encouraged by this!

Friday (30th) - Venezuela
We are thankful for opportunities to form partnerships with other ministries, such as the Thompson Bible Seminary and Ray Comfort’s evangelistic ministry. Please pray for the strengthening of these relationships to the glory of God and for more such partnerships in the coming months.

The Weekend (14th - 15th) - Venezuela
Please pray that the Lord will help us to continue buying books and Bibles from CLC Colombia and that we will find a simple way to make the international payments to them. Thank you.

Week 21 - Europe

May 19th to 25th

Tuesday (20th) - Eastern Europe 1
We are so thankful to God that we did not suffer much during the periodic flooding in recent years, even though the last flood happened shortly after we finished our office renovations! Please pray for the Lord’s continued protection over the CLC premises and for wisdom as it is possible that we will need to make further renovations.

Wednesday (21st) - Eastern Europe 2
We give thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness to us in our trials. By His grace, our sales are more stable again; our online presence is growing and we are once again able to participate with booktables in conferences. We have learned not to take these blessings for granted.

Thursday (22nd) - Hungary
At the time of writing, we are in discussions about the possibility of merging one of our bookshops with another. Please pray for wisdom in this potentially long-term process. Also, please pray for God’s guidance in choosing which should be our next titles for publishing.

Friday (23rd) - Italy
At the end of 2024, CLC Italy published two children’s books on two important figures in the Christian world: C.S. Lewis and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Please pray for a wide distribution of these books among all denominations, both Catholic and Protestant. Thank you.

The Weekend (24th - 25th) - Netherlands
After 62 years of ministry in the Netherlands, CLC handed over our one remaining bookshop to another organisation. We are grateful to the Lord, for sustaining our ministry for several decades, allowing us to provide Bibles and Christian literature for many people. Please pray for the new Credo team as they continue in this precious ministry.
