Monday (29th) - Eastern Europe 1
In recent years, we have seen a growing demand for books in the first language of our nation. We are pleased that the children’s Bibles we had printed a few years ago in China have become popular now. Sales of these Bibles have increased due to our link with the Bible Society and we hope that whole families will find their way to Christ by reading in their native language.
Tuesday (30th) - Central Asia 2
One of the two men who oversee parking near our bookstore has expressed a deep respect for us since he had a dream about Jesus. He has read parts of the New Testament and also some of the books we gave away at our anniversary celebrations. Please pray for God to lead him to fellowship with other believers and a saving knowledge of the Gospel.
Wednesday (October 1st) - Central Asia 2
The second man who oversees the parking (see yesterday’s point) is pleasant but never expressed interest in Jesus. However, one of his relatives came to the bookshop and was asking questions about the Bible, saying he had not realised there was more to the Bible than the Torah and the Gospels! He thanked us for our explanations and bought a Bible for himself. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will open his heart to understand what he reads and that he will find salvation!
Thursday (2nd) - Central Asia 2
We have started selling Bibles to a secular book chain in town and are encouraged at how that is going. There is another large bookstore interested in stocking our Bibles too. Please pray that God would open this other door soon so that more people may find His Word and experience His love.
Friday (3rd) - Eastern Europe 1
We have released our own versions of a Bible board game for children and another for adults. These games were developed by a staff member and we are grateful for the growing interest. Our hope is that the games will help to unite players and inspire interest in the Bible and the Christian faith.
The Weekend (4th - 5th) - Eastern Europe 1
Several months ago, there was a change of leadership in the National Bible Society in our country. The newly appointed director activated work with local publishers, and this has had a noticeable positive effect on our wholesale department as they are now interested in all the books, including Bibles, published by us. Praise God for this wider distribution that is happening!
