Monday (22nd) - France
We send our Bibles and books to more than 60 countries each year. Until now, we have benefitted from a postal service that allows us to reach every country at a reasonable cost. Sadly, this postal service has been withdrawn this year, which will impact access to Christian literature in many countries, particularly in Africa. At the time of writing, there is no equivalent solution so far, so please pray for wisdom and a way forward.
Tuesday (23rd) - Virtual Meeting
Today we will have a special virtual meeting for the leaders of the CLC francophone countries, hosted by Hervé Lessous. Hervé shares: “Please pray that we may continue to strengthen the existing partnerships and to improve even further the good cooperation between us in CLC Benin, Burkina Faso, Canada (Québec), Ivory Coast and France. A special prayer request is for safety and security in Africa”.
Wednesday (24th) - European Regional Conference
Please pray for the CLC European conference that will take place from September 29th to October 3rd at Eau Vive, a Christian centre in the south of France. Pray for a greater degree of collaboration between the CLC European countries in areas of publications and training. There will be several different languages and cultures represented, so please pray for a good understanding of each other in every way!
Thursday (25th) - Canada
We pray that the Lord helps us manage the growth which we are experiencing, including in the number of employees and volunteers, the number of new titles being stocked and the number of new customers! Pray that we will be able to continue to deliver quality content and service in all departments. Pray for National Director, Fritz Joseph, as he leads the ministry.
Friday (26th) - France
We are thankful that our new CLC magazine, “Itinéraires”, is already very popular. A full- colour, thematic, 50-page magazine in French, it has many articles of interest, including a range of personal testimonies, interviews and, of course, book recommendations! Published three times annually, it encourages readers to go deeper with God through the various topics discussed. It even has a two-page trimestrial planner!
The Weekend (27th - 28th) - Ivory Coast
Please pray for the sociopolitical atmosphere in our country to be one of peace and tranquility as we anticipate presidential elections next month. It is usual for many people to leave the country at such a time for fear of possible unrest. Also at these times, our sales become significantly less than usual, so please pray that the Lord will surprise and sustain us.
