Monday (1st) - Foreign Language Rights Fair
Please pray for the Foreign Language Rights Fair, organised by CLC International Office in partnership with ECPA*, and taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 1st - 2nd. Various CLC publishing teams from Asia will join other regional and international publishers to evaluate a wide range of new titles for publishing. * Evangelical Christian Publishers’ Association.
Tuesday (2nd) - Foreign Language Rights Fair
Please pray for the second day of the event mentioned yesterday, which will hopefully result in new and helpful publications in several different languages, including Burmese, Chinese, Indonesian and Thai. Please pray that this important event will be fruitful and that it will result in strong, lasting partnerships and publishing opportunities for all involved.
Wednesday (3rd) - CLC Publishing Training
From September 3rd - 4th, a Publishing Training conference specifically designed for staff from the CLC Asian countries will take place. Please pray that the seminars will be both effective and encouraging, and that new collaborative opportunities for publishing quality Christian books will emerge.
Thursday (4th) - Children's Bible Project
Please continue to pray for our project to print 50,000 Children’s Bibles in multiple languages.
These Bibles are intended for countries where Children’s Bibles are either extremely scarce or prohibitively expensive due to importation costs. Pray that the Lord will continue to provide funds for this vital project, which is already transforming the lives of thousands of children. See page 9 for more information.
Friday (5th) - Eastern Europe 1
We are preparing to publish the book, Love Thy Body, by Nancy Pearcey, a former agnostic who is now a Christian. This project has not been easy, but we hope that it will be helpful for many people, both believers and otherwise, as they seek answers to difficult questions surrounding issues of sexuality. Please pray that the content will enable readers to more clearly understand the Creator’s plan in these areas.
The Weekend (6th - 7th) - India
Please pray for our ELS publications team. At the time of writing, they are engaged in publishing a Bible commentary on the Psalms in the Tamil language. Pray that this book will be a great blessing and that it will be used by God to open up the Scriptures for many.
