Prayer Focus: October 20th - October 26th 2025

Week 43 - Events & Activities

October 20th to 26th

Monday (20th) - France
Please pray for our new publishing campaign that will take place this month. At the time of writing, nine new titles are planned. Pray for Christian Piaget, who heads up the CLC France Publishing Department. Also pray for those team members who need to prepare for La Place, the Evangelical Christian fair in Paris next month, where CLC France will have a sizeable stand.

Tuesday (21st) - Global
Preparations are underway for a CLC day of prayer on November 4th. These prayer days are held three times a year and include a special global virtual meeting for CLC workers around the world. The gathering includes praise and worship, a devotional message and prayer in small groups in various languages. We are grateful for these opportunities to seek God together and we trust Him to hear as we pray.

Wednesday (22nd) - Germany
A year ago, we had a special event at the bookshop in Hamburg with Pastor Martin Benz, and we asked you to pray for this. The event was very much appreciated by the participants, so we decided to invite him back this year! He will be with us on October 25th, for a whole day of reading and teaching together. Pastor Martin is also a well-known podcaster, and we expect many visitors.

Thursday (23rd) - Kenya
After six years of steady growth, the Mama Africa Book Box (MABB), initiated by CLC Kenya, has gained momentum. We thank God for a recent grant that came through, opening doors for new partnerships with children-focused institutions, such as Scripture Union in Kenya and Uganda. Truly, God’s timing is perfect!

Friday (24th) - Kenya
What began as a small writing class in January 2020 has grown remarkably. From 20–30 writers trained annually
in Kenya, this year we have been training 110 writers across virtual platforms, enabling us to reach participants in Uganda and South Africa. To God be the glory - great things He has done!

The Weekend (25th - 26th) - African Christian Author's Book Awards
The CLC Kenya ACABA programme has now reached 19 Anglophone African countries and we give God praise as we press on towards our goal of reaching all 27 - uniting authors to grow authorship, publishing and readership across the continent! The 2025 ACABA Gala event will be held today (25th) in Kampala, Uganda, for the second year running, and so we appreciate your prayers for spiritual impact and blessings!
