Prayer Focus: October 13th - October 19th 2025

Week 42 - Ecuador & Mozambique

October 13th to 19th

Monday (13th) - Ecuador
Recently, our bookshop in Cuenca was visited by a man selling cookies. He told us that his wife had died three days earlier and he needed to earn money to buy diapers for his baby. He was looking for answers as to why a loving God allowed all of this. We were able to share the Gospel with him and help him financially. We are thankful for the many testimonies of God at work through us.

Tuesday (14th) - Mozambique
For more than a year, we have been unable to pay our foreign suppliers from our bank in Maputo, due to a lack of US dollars in the Central Bank of Mozambique. After much prayer over several months, the Lord graciously provided a solution through a partner organisation working in the country. As there is no indication of when things will change, please pray for a long-term answer to this problem.

Wednesday (15th) - Mozambique
We are very thankful for the missionaries who have supported our local teams in Beira and Nampula over the years, helping with such matters as accounts and transportation when deliveries arrive. Please pray for God’s blessing upon Claudia, Inge and Paula, who have all freely given their time to help us. Pray, too, for our Advisory Board in the capital of Maputo, who are all volunteers.

Thursday (16th) - Mozambique
The team in Mozambique recently expressed, once again, their appreciation of the spiritual and financial support they received from other countries in CLC a year ago, when their own country experienced a period of political turmoil leading to unrest and uncertainty. The love of God leaves a lasting imprint, so please pray that this would always be a characteristic of the CLC ministry around the world.

Friday (17th) - Mozambique
CLC Mozambique is very thankful to have received a quantity of two different children’s Bibles in Portuguese as part of the CLC International Office Children’s Bibles Project. Many people cannot afford more books for children, after buying the necessary schoolbooks, so please pray that the special offer prices of these Bibles will make them accessible for many who otherwise may not be able to consider buying them.

The Weekend (18th - 19th) - Ecuador
Lino Mero, a fisherman, is a loyal customer at one of our bookstores. Every time he returns from the high seas and is close to the coast, he calls us to ask for Bibles as a way of thanking God for bringing him back. Further, he uses the Bibles to evangelise because he remembers that one day he was given a Bible and was therefore able to learn about the Gospel. Please remember him in your prayers.
