Prayer Focus: August 25th - August 31st 2025

Week 35 - Europe

August 25th to 31st

Monday (25th) - Director
Please pray for David Scouler, National Director for CLC Sierra Leone. David, who has worked with WEC and CLC in many countries, travels twice yearly to Sierra Leone to spend time with the local team. Pray that he will arrive safely in Freetown this week, together with his luggage, which always contains much-needed equipment for the team.

Tuesday (26th) - Transition
After several years of supporting the team in Sierra Leone, David Scouler plans to step aside in March 2026. It is hoped there will be candidates available for interview this week, to fulfil his role next year. The Director is key to the success of the ministry, so please pray for this very crucial matter and that the right person may be found.

Wednesday (27th) - New Generator
We give thanks to the Lord for the provision of a new and modern generator for our offices in Freetown earlier this year. We are especially grateful to CLC USA for their support in helping us to purchase this very necessary item. Given that there were several attempts at vandalism in the compound last year, please pray for God’s protection for this very important piece of equipment.

Thursday (28th) - Staff
Please pray for a full staff complement for our three shops, which have suffered various losses this year with two staff leaving and another having suffered serious health issues. Pray for full health and healing for those who are unwell and for new and qualified staff to join the team. We are thankful for a new book keeper, Jane Naomi, and we pray for God’s help for her in bringing the accounts up to date.

Friday (29th) - Property Rentals
We are blessed to own a number of properties that help to sustain the ministry by bringing in rent. However, the rapid depreciation due to tough external conditions presents a significant challenge requiring time and money as well as relevant skills and experience. Please pray for someone on the ground who can take on this responsibility. Also pray for good relationships with all our tenants, both domestic and commercial.

The Weekend (30th - 31st) - Advisory Board
We are grateful for the support, advice and local insights provided by our Advisory Board. It comprises five people, including two pastors, one full-time Christian ministry worker, one lawyer and one IT business trainer! Please pray that they will be both effective and blessed in their involvement with us.
