Monday (18th) - International Director
Gary Chamberlin, the CLC International Director, has several overseas visits still planned for the last few months of the year. Please pray for good health and stamina, and that he may be an encouragement to all with whom he interacts. Gary is also the Director of CLC Global Publishing, so please pray that he will know how best to guide our global publishing teams.
Tuesday (19th) - Asia Regional Director
Please pray for Sohee Yoo as she hosts guests from one of our major publishers from the USA next week. These publishers will be visiting South Korea to attend KCRF*, in which CLC Korea will also participate. Please pray that they will be led to choose the best titles to publish and connect with the right representatives at the Fair, fostering fruitful and inspiring partnerships. * Korean Christian Rights Fair (August 28th & 29th).
Wednesday (20th) - Europe Regional Director
Please pray for Hervé Lessous as he prepares to lead the CLC European Conference next month in the south of France. Pray for any final details that still need to be organised and that there will be no last-minute stress! Pray for good time management skills so that he may be effective in each of his several responsibilities, including the role of Commercial Director at CLC France and oversight of CLC francophone Africa.
Thursday (21st) - Latin America Regional Director
Please pray for David Pabón as he seeks to guide and encourage the teams in the eight CLC countries in the Latin American region. David is the National Director for Colombia, which is an extensive operation with 11 bookshops, a publishing department, a warehouse, mobile ministry and a social foundation. Pray that David may wisely divide his time between all these commitments.
Friday (22nd) - North America & The Caribbean Regional Director
Please pray for Jim Pitman, who asks for “wisdom and insight as I strive to listen to God’s direction for our region. Pray that I will be obedient and courageous to follow His direction when I hear it. Pray that, as a region, we will be good stewards of our people, time and resources”. Pray, too, for Jim and his family as Jim’s father passed away earlier this year.
The Weekend (23rd - 24th) - Africa
Currently, there is no Regional Director serving Africa, but different IO members are involved in supporting our teams in the various countries. Please pray for Hervé Lessous (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire), Gary Chamberlin (Kenya), Liz Patten (Mozambique, Sierra Leone), Petra Nemansky (Mozambique) and David Scouler (Sierra Leone), that they may be a true source of encouragement and help.
