Prayer Focus: April 27th - May 3rd 2026

Week 18 - West Africa

April 27th to May 3rd

Monday (27th) - Benin
Please pray for political and financial stability in Benin as these things directly affect the sustainability of our ministry.  Pray for our team at CLC in Cotonou.

Tuesday (28th) - Benin
Please pray that the Christian community in Cotonou will become increasingly aware of the CLC ministry so that believers may benefit from access to God’s Word and sound Christian books.

Wednesday (29th) - Burkina Faso
Please join us in thanking God for the gift of funds to purchase a new cash register. Also, for a generous customer who provided and installed solar panels at the bookshop so that we may have a more consistent energy supply and save on costs.

Thursday (30th) - Burkina Faso
Please continue to pray for the security situation here and for the country’s relations with other nations. Pray for the continual safety of our worker, Luc, his wife Anne and their family.

Friday (May 1st) - Côte d’Ivoire
Please pray as we explore the possibility of a CLC wholesale distribution centre in Abidjan to serve not only our national Christian bookshops but also those in other Francophone nations in the region.

The Weekend (2nd - 3rd) - Côte d’Ivoire
Last year was an electoral year, something which usually has a negative impact on sales in Africa. Please pray for improved sales this year in both of our bookshops - in Abidjan and Bouaké.

Week 19 - Asia

May 4th to May 10th

Monday (4th) - Myanmar
Pray for God’s provision for our 20,000 Bibles project. Pray for the needed financial resources, printing materials and logistical support to complete this project in 2026. Pray that every Bible will reach prepared hearts, bring hope to those in need and lead many to know Christ.

Tuesday (5th) - Pakistan
Historically, our sales during May and June have been significantly lower due to seasonal challenges, including heavy rainfall and extreme heat. Please pray that the Lord will bless our efforts during this period, increase our sales and enable us to meet all ministry expenses.

Wednesday (6th) - Pakistan
By now, we should have made available a selection of special gift items featuring Bible verses for Mother’s Day on 10th May. We hope that these items will be a blessing to mothers while increasing sales and further supporting the work of the ministry.

Thursday (7th) - Japan
At the time of writing, a major Christian publishing institution in Japan is scheduled to close this year. Also, several Christian monthly magazines are now being suspended or discontinued, reflecting a serious crisis facing Christian publishing in our country and a weakening of literary evangelism.

Friday (8th) - Japan
Rising costs, reduced publications and declining distribution channels have placed added pressure on the already fragile operations of all Christian bookshops here. Please pray that God will sustain us and that believers will recognise the vital role of Christian literature in evangelism and discipleship.

The Weekend (9th - 10th) - Japan
Please pray with us that a renewed movement to support CLC and other Christian bookstores in Japan will grow and gain momentum so that the ministry of sharing God’s Word through literature may continue faithfully despite our challenges.
