Meet the ELS Ministry in India - CLC World Magazine 2024/02

Our dedicated team manages 23 bookshops in the country, mostly in the south where the majority of Christians live. It is one of the countries with the most staff and also the largest distribution of Christian literature in the CLC International Fellowship.

Meet: Justin Chellappan, ELS National Director

The youngest of six, Justin was born into a pastoral family. His father, born Hindu, accepted Jesus as his Saviour after seeing the Lord move greatly in his family. Justin committed his life to the Lord at 14 years old, but because of the hardships he saw in the ministry, he decided to follow a different path.

Publishing In India

Through the publishing ministry, our teams can help shape and influence the reading culture in their respective countries. To this day, the Lord continues to use the printed page as a tool for evangelism, hope, equipping, and transformation.

Update: 10,000 Bibles for Francophone Africa Project

Help us provide very cost Bibles to our Francophone Africa shops! Bibles would have extra important content on the opening pages: a summary of the Gospel message and a suggested prayer for salvation, written by members of the CLC Africa teams.

As you probably realise, CLC is an extremely diverse group of people. Operating in 46 countries, with national workers in each of them, alongside a smaller number of cross-cultural workers, CLC is made up of many nations, languages and church backgrounds. We come together under a shared vision to help people on their spiritual journey through the Bibles, books and Christian resources that we distribute.
