As CLC celebrates 85 years of ministry, I am reminded that this principle has been woven throughout our history.
Again and again, God has opened doors and faithful men and women have responded. Ken and Bessie Adams, CLC’s founders, seized opportunities to serve individuals and churches through Christian literature. Through the decades, CLC has expanded into new countries, opened bookshops and warehouses, developed publishing ministries, trained leaders and found new ways to place God’s Word into the hands of people around the world.
None of this was accomplished through human effort alone. The history of CLC is ultimately a testimony to God’s faithfulness and guidance. When resources were limited, He provided. When obstacles appeared, He made a way forward. When courage was needed, He raised up people willing to step out in faith.
Today, we look back with gratitude for those whose vision, sacrifice, perseverance and faith helped shape the global CLC Fellowship. Yet we also look ahead with expectation. Across our 42 countries, there remain opportunities to serve churches, reach communities and make Christian literature available to those who need it most.
Carpe Diem! May we continue to seize the opportunities God places before us and trust Him to show His faithfulness.
